Queen’s Birthday Friendship Tree

A ‘Friendship Tree’ has been created by children at a Swindon Day Nursery, to send to the Queen for her birthday.

The children at Windmill Hill Day Nursery on Whitehall Way painted their hands to make prints which were organised into the shape of a tree along with a lovely message wishing our monarch ‘many happy returns’.

Windmill Hill Manager Lora Worthington said:

“Our most recent ‘Golden Value’ has been friendship and we have been learning about kindness and how we can help others. We thought it would be lovely to extend this learning and incorporate it into a message to the Queen and the children are delighted to have taken part in this creative and learning activity.”

The Queen turned 92 on 21st April, which is her actual birthdate. The Queen’s official birthday is usually celebrated in June.
