‘Life’s a beach’ at Chobham Day Nursery Summer Fayre
Children, parents and practitioners at Pennypot Day Nursery in Chobham have enjoyed a successful annual summer ‘beach’ themed fayre. The nursery garden was decorated with seaside features, complete with deckchairs.
The theme, which was chosen by a parent whose child attends the nursery, went down a treat with visitors. Activities included creating coloured sand bottles, ice cream stalls and a beach themed background selfie photo booth.
Local stall holders were also welcomed into the nursery to sell their wares. The fire engine also stopped by and the children enjoyed visits into the truck. Visitors enjoyed a range of picnic foods sourced from the nursery menu.
Nursery Manager Carol McDonough said:
“Pennypot is known for its strong parental partnerships and events like the summer fayre really bring our nursery and wider community together. I would like to thank all of those involved in the planning and coordination of the event as well as those who attended. It really was all the fun of the seaside.”
A raffle was also held on the day with all proceeds going to the disabled children’s charity, Children Today.
