Colours and craft at Buckingham day nursery in celebration of Bonfire Night
Children at Field House Day Nursery in Buckingham have celebrated Bonfire Night within the nursery with a range of craft and sensory activities.
Babies at the Ofsted-rated ‘Outstanding’ Day Nursery on Tingewick Road have taken part in body painting using orange, red and yellow paints. This activity involved paint and paper being laid out and allowing the babies to get messy using their hands and feet to make prints.
Older children have made firework patterns using recycled toilet rolls which were carefully cut into Catherine Wheel patterns.
Field House Manager Kellie Seaton said:
“Children are mesmerised by the fireworks which light up the dark sky, at this time of year. We try to recreate the colour and magic of Bonfire Night within our nursery by initiating fun, creative activities which help to engage and stimulate the children’s imaginations.”
