Christmas comes early for Maidenhead preschoolers
Father Christmas dropped into Mulberry Day Nursery with some surprises of his own on Friday.
Visiting each of the age-appropriate rooms at the day nursery in Boyn Hill Avenue, Maidenhead, he delivered a total of 91 gifts – one for each child – and admired decorations, cards and a variety of crafted items made by the children for their parents.
As Mulberry Deputy Manager, Samantha Renshaw, explained the visit and annual party for each age group is always the highlight of festive activities at the day nursery.
“This time of the year is particularly magical for us at Mulberry so it is wonderful to be able to share it with parents and thank them for all their support during the year,” she said.
Nursery chef, Karen Taylor, pulled out all the stops for the party teas and the children entertained their parents with Christmas songs and carols and a range of party games.
Father Christmas may have left the nursery with an empty gift sack but the children’s sacks were filled with the Christmas cards and carefully wrapped clay ornaments they made for their parents.
